Guns N’ Roses fans stunned by Axl Rose’s ‘voice change’ in viral video | Music | Entertainment

Fans of the iconic rock group Guns n’ Roses were taken aback by Axl Rose’s current vocal skill.

The creators of smash hits like ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Paradise City’ embarked on a tour in early May, with performances in Asia set to be followed by tours across the UK and the US.

In their prime, the band was renowned for their electrifying rock riffs and Rose’s distinctive high-pitched vocals. This unique voice, coupled with veteran guitarist Slash’s skills, became one of the band’s most appealing features.

However, fans have noticed a significant shift in Rose’s voice, which no longer seems capable of reaching the soaring highs of the 1980s.

While he may not be able to hit those high notes anymore, fans were pleasantly surprised by the modifications he’s made to his voice. A clip from a recent Guns n’ Roses performance was shared on TikTok and has since gone viral.

The footage revealed Rose sporting a markedly different voice compared to their studio recordings. The band’s last album, ‘Chinese Democracy’, was released in 2008 and reached number three on the US Billboard charts.

A rendition of ‘Nightrain’, from their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, has thrilled fans who are delighted to see that the band can still command the stage.

A clip of the group performing at a concert in Bangkok, Thailand, has thrilled viewers who believe Rose still possesses the charisma to be one of the best frontmen in the business.

One user was pleasantly surprised, commenting: “Wow he actually sounds decent for a change. Auto tune or is he doing something different?” Another chimed in with praise: “He sounds so good now.”

The mystery behind the vocal transformation of the 63-year-old rocker was unravelled by fans in the comments section, revealing that Axl Rose may have tweaked his singing style. While the high notes might be a stretch for him these days, his new vocal range has been a hit with listeners.

A fan expressed their approval, saying: “He should keep this kind of voice through all the concert.”

Echoing this sentiment, another suggested: “Should keep singing lower he sounds great, the high notes are a hard listen now.”

Further admiration came from a comment stating: “He should perform with this deep voice for ALL of their live songs. He sounds great, and it’s not like it wouldn’t suit their other songs.”

The rock legends didn’t disappoint during their set in Bangkok, delivering a set brimming with hits from their iconic debut album as well as their latest tunes. The full setlist is available below.

Enthusiastic feedback poured in from fans who believe Rose should stick to a lower pitch when performing. One fan advised: “He really needs to give up the high notes. I really enjoyed the lower tone singing and rolled my eyes on the high point.”

However, not everyone agreed, with one user defending Rose’s vocal prowess: “I saw him last year, he was amazing. Some of the higher notes he misses but overall he still has it.”
