Elvis tops ABBA, Queen and Beatles in new British poll of best sing-along tracks | Films | Entertainment

According to a new survey of 2000 Brits, as many as 80 per cent of us say we love a good sing-song as a way of boosting our mental health.

In fact, 37 per cent are convinced they have a great voice, but just 17 per cent think they could make it as a famous singer with the right training.

And now the latest research conducted by menthol lozenge brand Jakemans has discovered the nation’s favourite tracks to sing-along to.

The top Beatles song was Sir Paul McCartney’s Hey Jude at No 12, while Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now came in at No 9.

Additionally, ABBA took fourth place with Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen came in at No 2.

But it was a track Elvis Presley was famous for covering live that made it No 1 with 41 per cent of the vote. The song in question is Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline. This actually makes a lot of sense considering it’s the fan anthem of the England football team, who’ve had their best record in years under Gareth Southgate. Check out the full Top 30 below.
