A MAGA senator said he liked “omelets better than sex” when coming to Elon Musk’s defense for shutting down the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Louisiana Senator John Kennedy had a bizarre rant on Fox News when he compared the breakfast food to Musk putting USAID on the chopping block. “I like omelets better than sex. Not really, but you get the point,” Kennedy said on Fox News. “You can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs.” He then called the agency’s workers “tofu-eating wokerati,” seemingly in reference to a conservative U.K. politician who called liberals “Guardian reading, tofu-eating wokerati” in 2022, later becoming a viral meme. “To my friends who are upset,” the senator continued, “I would say with respect, call somebody who cares.” Kennedy then warned that USAID was first, but the Department of Education would be next, solidifying Democrats’ fear of other agencies also being overtaken by Donald Trump’s administration.
