28 Days Later has disappeared from streaming but here’s where to watch it | Films | Entertainment

When Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later wrapped last year, fans of the zombie horror movies were wondering where they could watch the original.

2002’s 28 Days Later used to be available to watch on Disney+ alongside its sequel 28 Weeks Later, which remains on the streaming service.

However, the first film then disappeared and was unavailable to watch legally online.

According to JoBlo, Disney lost the rights to the indie movie which are now with Sony as part of their package of acquiring the rights for 28 Years Later and its upcoming two sequels.

28 Days Later was one of the first movies to be shot digitally, so it has a standard-definition resolution of 720×576, which is why the DVD and Blu-ray look pretty much the same.

In December last year, Sony Pictures released the first trailer for 28 Years Later and then announced that the original 28 Days Later would be available to rent or buy on streaming.

The horror classic is now available to rent in HD on Amazon Prime, Sky Store and YouTube for £3.49.

28 Days Later can also be purchased on those platforms, including Apple TV for £4.99.
